Personal & Spiritual Mentorship

Personal and spiritual mentoring is about realizing your true nature and building a life from choices made in alignment with your inherent awakened nature. Mentoring is based on the understanding that you are already whole and complete, adaptable and creative. My role is to provide support, insight, tools and strategies to help you realize your true nature and meet your personal/spiritual goals. The process is designed to assist you identify the obstacles and attachments that prevent you from realizing that innate awakened nature you already possess. Our work together is to help you find simplicity and liberation so you can live a life that not only benefits you but also helps others. I emphasize living with joy, which is unlimited and unconditional, rather than just being happy, which is limited and conditional.
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.
~ Joseph Campbell
Together, we will work to:
  • discover core values, interests, and goals
  • develop strategies to meet personal goals and overcome obstacles
  • recognize and let go of old beliefs, behavior patterns, thoughts and emotional barriers
  • uncover and nurture your true authentic nature
  • nurture well-being in yourself, in others, and your community
Personal mentoring is not therapy.
Mentoring works best for those who are functioning well and are able to be self-reflective and honest with themselves. While mentoring can sometimes have therapeutic qualities, it is only a side-effect resulting from the objectives and practices that the mentoring process requires. Mentoring itself will not heal emotional or physical traumas, personality or mood disorders or other difficult life events. Therapy is recommended for those kinds of issues. However, I do work with individuals who struggle with such issues, if they are concurrently meeting with a therapist.

Some of the areas individuals seeking insight mentoring include:
  • career
  • creativity
  • relationships/family
  • personal development
  • work/life balance
  • time management
  • spiritual awakening and development

Through one-on-one personal mentoring we establish trust and create a safe space to discover your true nature. Together we will seek to clarify and recognize your own core values in order to enable you to make choices responsively rather than reactively. While this work can be very challenging, we will emphasize self-compassion and positive outlooks. As a mentor my role is both cheerleader and guide. My ability to help can only be matched by your intention and commitment to working toward your own development.

The process of personal mentoring generally begins with a 90 minute introductory session, in which we get to know each other and establish a framework for your mentoring. Regular coaching sessions are 50 minutes two to three times a month, with as needed check-in meetings for up to 30 minutes. While I believe in-person meetings are more effective, I can arrange meeting through video-chat. Depending on the goals articulated in our mentoring plan, I generally ask for a three or six month mentoring relationship. After this time, you may choose to continue working with me to further your development.

It is my goal is to help you overcome obstacles and create impactful and lasting change and living a more joyful and authentic life.
Please Note: All meetings are currently held via video conference.
