This painting is an exploration into the study of tree energy. Birch has always fascinated me. It is flexible and strong and when they grow together in tall, thin groups, I feel as though many eyes are watching me. I added the white stag as a spiritual manifestation of the birch, a kind of animal dryad that frequents these special, magical groves of trees.
